Programme Manager
Debbie joined the NHS in 2005 and worked initially with the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMHE) in the commissioning programme with a focus on user and carer involvement. NIMHE then merged into the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP) in 2007 and her role around involvement and empowerment broadened to include all people using all health and social care services. From 2008 her role has primarily focused on leading two regional programmes for the Department of Health on two policy areas, the development of Local Involvement Networks (LINks) and the development of User Led Organisations (ULO's). These programmes aim to support development of empowerment practices in all areas of service from planning and design, to commissioning, service delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
Debbie has a BSc Hons in psychology and has continued to study at other Universities and complemented her degree with other modular courses including a Service Improvement course and Leadership Training course. Debbie is also a PRINCE 2 and MSP Practitioner.
